The Casa de las Flores Hotel is located in the heart of the city of Oaxaca.
Only three blocks away is the majestic temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. Nestled in the back of the temple is the world renowned and highly visited Ethno-botanical garden.
After visiting the temple and the garden, take a leisurely stroll down the cobblestoned Alcalá street, better known as theel Andador Turístico, and admire the breathtaking colonial architecture that the Oaxaca is known for. Alcalá spills right out into the glorious Zócalo or town square where you can delight in all kinds of street shows, food, coffee shops and concerts practically any day of the week, any time of the day (especially in the evenings on the weekends).
About a half a block up from the hotel, in the opposite direction, you can find the Fortín stairs that will lead you skyward right into the Guelaguetza Auditorium where the grandest and most famous Oaxacan celebrations take place.
